75Nanka Microfinance Bank Limited obtained Its Certificate Of Incorporation on the 8th January 1992. The Bank was commissioned on the 15th October 1993 by His Excellency Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Okwadike Igbo-Ukwu, and then Governor of Anambra State. The bank started as a Community Bank with an initial authorized capital of ₦500,000 and a Paid up capital of N250,000.00. Since then it has growth strength to strength. In 2007 the Bank transformed to a Microfinance Bank as a result of Central Bank of Nigeria policy that directed all existing community banks in Nigeria to convert to Microfinance Banks.
